Hypnotic Therapy for Hyperhidrosis

An effective and affordable way to cure hyperhidrosis is through hypnosis, which uses a few techniques to reprogram the mind and body, thus minimizing or eliminating the bodily response to stress. Thus, if the patient responds to the stress by relaxing, smiling, or laughing, it results in a happier state of mind and less emotional distress. This leads to an improvement in social, occupational, and personal functioning, and ultimately, increased health and confidence.

Even with intense stressful situations, it can be difficult to ignore, so as the body relaxes, it doesn’t release endorphins. In the absence of these natural opiates, the body continues to produce adrenaline and cortisol, both of which are associated with hyperactivity and stress.

In fact, the endorphins’ release into the bloodstream cause the release of Adrenalin and cortisol into the bloodstream, again increasing blood sugar levels and leading to the release of insulin into the body. All these activities interfere with the body’s normal metabolic rate. Therefore, it is best to eliminate hyperhidrosis by getting rid of the stress that causes it.

Some medications treatment for hyperhidrosis, for example, prescribe anti-anxiety drugs, which will block the release of endorphins. The side effects of Chlordiazepoxide include high blood pressure, fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, loss of bladder control, nervousness, loss of memory, and vision problems. Even though anticonvulsants are considered to be safe medications, there are still many risks.

These risks come as a surprise to hyperhidrosis sufferers, since most of them expect their medication to make them more happy, but the opposite is true. Anticonvulsants reduce the sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for regulating the body’s hormone levels. Therefore, if the stressor or situations cause the system to go “hyper” (too fast), this leads to exaggerated chemical reactions (such as excessive sweating) that exacerbate the hyperhidrosis condition.

As a result, Chlordiazepoxide can be more dangerous than its original purpose – to treat seizures. Since Chlordiazepoxide is known to cause convulsions, seizures, or even death, it is not safe to use in patients with epilepsy or diabetes.
